Bethel Homeless Ministry is on a mission to eradicate homelessness in the

 City of Birmingham because ‘Homeless Lives Matter’

Our 2 bed apartment can create opportunities for individuals to be housed and off the streets in the City of Birmingham. We currently have housed 2 individuals in the property which means less people on the streets. 

It is essential that all human beings, regardless of how or why they became homeless, is given an opportunity of life and not death. Bethel Homeless Ministry ensures all our licensees are supported and empowered. 

The purpose of supporting and empowering our licensees is to enable them to reach a level of self-actualisation that causes them to become self-sufficient, independent and be in a position to contribute back to society.

We are committed to ensuring that all our licensees at Bethel Homeless Ministry receive the best support from our highly trained staff. The quality of care given must be the focal point to all our licensees. 

All our properties comes fully furnished and with the essential tools and equpiment needed to take those steps to becoming independent. 

As part of our support package (which will be a condition of their license agreement), this ultimately ensures the appropriate support interventions and provisions are suitable to allow these individuals to achieve their goals. This is monitored through their individual support plans and contact logs.

Each licensee will be allocated a support worker who will support them:

o  A minimum of 2 hours per week

o  Accessing employment

o  Accessing education

o  Accessing services for specialist support

o  Money management

o  By registering them with a GP, dentist and an optician

o  By supporting them to have a bank account

o  To become self-sufficient 

o  To become independent

o  Improve relationship-building 

o  Improve their mental health 

o  Provide life skills

Bethel Homeless Ministry is a Christian Organisation.

All licensees will need to be comfortable that this will influence the way we work.

There is, however, no requirement to be a Christian to join the house. We have every expectation that all our licensees will be able to manage a healthy lifestyle and be on their way to reaching their fullest potential.
